What does a typical SUP lesson looks like?
Our main aim is to have fun and learn the skills to Stand Up Paddle Board. A lesson is generally 1 and a half hours long. We start with a safety briefing followed by a warm up and while we're still on the beach we teach you the basic skills to control the board and get standing up. This all normally takes 15-20 mins before we hit the water and put it into practice.
We meet at the surf school on Sandhaven beach and if the conditions aren't right for paddle boarding there (i.e too many waves) we head round the corner (1 min drive /5-10 min walk) to Little Haven, which is more sheltered.

Stand Up Paddle Tours:
Once you've got the hang of stand up paddle boarding why not come join us on a tour of our beautiful and historic coastline. We explore the coves and bays between South Shields and Marsden under the cliffs of the leas.
We'll see the historic sites; shipwrecks & World War One sea defenses, as well as the varied wildlife; seabirds (fulmars, terns and black oyster catchers), seals and if we're lucky dolphins.
We only run tours when the conditions allow so keep an eye on our Facebook page for tours running or give us a call on 07583144560 to see when we're next running a tour.
Tours cost £25 per person.
