Surf Lessons for intermediate surfers:
If you have surfed before or are looking for ways to improve, we have experienced instructors who can help you take your surfing to the next level: From giving you the confidence to practice on your own through to starting to do turns and complete manoeuvres on the wave.
For intermediate lessons we've found it most effective for our students to have 1 to 1 tuition. Book a private 1-1 lessons and let us know in the booking form what aspects of your surfing you'd like to develop (wave catching, turns, generating speed). If you're unsure which part of your surfing you'd like to develop then let us know in the booking form and our instructors can assess where you're at and provide a clear pathway to developing your surfing.
A 1-1 lesson is £30 per hour including all the equipment. We have a pay it forward scheme and you can opt to pay an extra £5 on your lesson that will help us to fund our lessons for those who are vulnerable or from disadvantaged backgrounds. With you're £5 forward payment we can afford to give a lesson to one other person - check out our projects page to see what we do with the funds.

Here’s how a typical lesson will go...
after we’ve done introductions and issued out equipment and you’ve got into your wetsuit:
1. Go through some beach and water safety points.
2. Have a quick warm up and then get used to the water by jumping in the sea.
3. Give a demonstration and explanation of catching waves and surfing on the beach including:
4. We then get into the water, showing you the best ways through the surf or how to improve on what you already do.
5. Then we’ll catch some waves!
6. Once you have the hang of catching the waves we will exit the water and learn how to stand up with a quick beach demonstration. If you’re improving we use this opportunity to give more directed feedback and demonstrations for your surfing.
7. Then we’ll help you to correct your technique and catch more waves.
Lessons normally last 2 hours and includes all equipment, you just need yourselves, swimwear, a towel and some warm clothing for afterwards.
The minimum age for surf lessons is 6.
